I was looking into this a while back, and I think the xBase record locking
problems Samba used to have are now fixed. There is a licensing issue
running VFP apps on Linux. A Google search on "Foxpro McNett Linux" (no
quotes) might help you. Paul McNett was instrumental in getting VFP to run
on the Linux/WINE project.
