Hi David,
I can only talk about Visual ProMatrix, since that is the tool I have been
using for the last 7 years. So far I have been able to do anything I want
with VPM, I even use VFP Skin http://www.vfpskin.com.ar/ in one of my
projects. Like most frameworks, you have to work your way around the logic
build into the framework, IMHO, the whole purpose of any framework should be
to help you do the job faster by allowing you to customize it to fit your
application's need.
Visual ProMatrix, has been very stable, the community using it is very good
and helpful http://www.promatrix.com/news/newsgroups.htm and you can post
direct questions in the free newsgroups about more specifics needs.
Keep in mind that with any framework there is a learning curve and you will
need to account for it in preparing for your new project.
For information in other frameworks check the Fox Wiki site at

Good luck!
