Hi Rick,
I tried both links. It did not work.

I finaly found and vfpodbc.msi file on:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/downloads/updates/odbc/default.aspx#config

which did properly install. It is only version 6 but I can now create ODBC
connections.
The update to version 8 does not work. I installed and reinstalled several
times the latest odbc driver without success.
I deleted even the old vfpodbc.dll file in the ..\common\system\ole db\
directory. and reinstalled it. I can see the new vfpoldb.dll file (version
8) but in the ODBC Administrator it says under VFP driver "Not Marked".
It seems I have to register the new driver but I do not know how.
