There are also a couple of Microsoft articles that refer to 16-bit systems,
that may be of help?

I have a Windows XP user running a FoxPro 26 application using FOXW2600.ESL
on the network. She was able to run the application fine until recently.
Now she gets the error message which says "The Win 16 subsystem has
insufficient resources to continue running" and she can no longer use
FoxPro. If she reboots she can use the FoxPro application again, but after
an hour or so the message reappears. Is there a fix for this? She's using
a
Dell OptiPlex 745 running Windows XP. She was using a Dell OptiPlex 260
with Windows XP previously and had no problems.
