Perhaps they just didn't ask.
If you ask your provider, if you can host EXE,
they normally don't think about Downloads, but
EXEs that run on their server.

Maybe it's also a security issue to them.

So why don't simply ZIP the EXE and offer
these as downloads...

Or look for Hoster with Linux as Server OS, they
most probably won't care about EXEs...
