    I think you would want to setup the backend servers to use the Front end
    servers as smart hosts....

    You could create a SMTP connector to do this or just set it up on the
    default smtp Virtual server....

    There may be issues doing it on the default SMTP virtual server...maybee
    someone will know about that...
