    I think the following article may help

    The big picture is that Outlook as an RPC Client will query the End Point
    Mapper- TCP Port 135 for the services it needs, the Store, Directory
    Referral, and Directory.
    The End Point Mapper will then respond with the TCP Ports those services are
    listening on- they will be in the ephemeral range.
    Outlook will then connect to those ports.

    Loading
