Leif - I believe 2.) to be the case with my situation. If so, thanks for the peace of mind.

     Hi,

The queues are mails from your exchange server to external recipients, but
they might not be emails that your users have sent.

1.) If your server is an open relay external spammers can send mails thru
     your server.

2.) If spammers send emails to non existing users in your domain your server
will send NDR's to the spammers spoofed addresses which might not exist
     either.

3.) Queues can contain normal to servers that don't answer for the time
     beeing.

If you rightclick a queue in the left pane you will get a choice to
enumerate 100 emails and when you then click on the indibiduel emails you
     can see who sent them.

> I have a W2K SBS server with E2K running. Under my SMTP Virtual Server,
in the queues folder, there are queues listed as "Outbound (SMTP Connector -
Remote Delivery)" My question is are these queues from people inside my LAN
sending email or is it people outside my LAN connecting into my server and
using it to send mail? When i see Remote delivery it makes me think someone
is outside my LAN using my server to send mail. Maybe i'm just interpreting
it wrong, which is probably what it is, but if someone could give me some
insite as to the meaning of these queues that would be great. Also when i
double click on one of the queues to try and see the message inside the
queue it says, "enumerate messages from the queue node" What does that
mean? and is there a way to see what the message is? Thank you in advance.
