Exchange 2003 Public folders problem

Hello,
I have a problem with an Exchange Server 2003 Ent. (IBM Blade Server -
Windows Server 2003) with 2 CPUs and 2 Gb of RAM.
Because of the 2Gb of RAM the boot.ini and the Registry have been modified
according to Microsoft's guidelines (/3GB e.t.c.).

The Databases and Transaction Logs exists on a Large SAN. Raid 1 for Logs,
10 disks-Raid 5 for Mailboxes and 10 disks-Raid 5 for Public folders.
The sizes of the Databases are: 25GB-Mailboxes, 24GB-Public folders.
The Public folders contain a large amount of mail items.
The problem is: Very slow performance of Public folders.
