Re: Problems with Exchange 2000 and disk space



I think the circular logging only pertains to transaction logs of data to be
written to the database. There are other log files in the Exchsrvr folder
that can consume major space. For instance, if you have message tracking
enabled but havent set parameters for it then the log file can grow
indefinitely and eat up disk. Also, the bad mail directory is notorious for
growing excessively especially if your server has been hijacked to relay
spam. Since you cant open the folder, if I were you I would check the smtp
queue to confirm the server isn't being used to send spam. Also, check
whether you have message tracking enabled and configured properly.
