Leif,

Thanks for the much needed advice. I am going to read that MS tech article
and work out a plan for doing this.

One more question - what do you think caused the IS to get corrupted? Is
this a "frequent" occurence or does it very rarely happen. My server is
about 3 years old - could it be something is physically bad with the hard
drives? When I reboot the server, everything starts up as normal and there
are no errors in the logs. I only get the event id 478 errors when the
backup for the IS runs.
