When you installed are you sure that you installed Exchange server?
Messaging and Collaboration needed to be chosen. Did you only install the
System Administrator program?
I have seen people do this in the past.
If you go back into the setup and choose to reinstall what says reinstall
next to it? Does Messaging and Collaboration?
If you go into the services manager do you see Exchange services?
