I also see two messages in the system log, though none in the application
log. I could not find any exceptions in the crashdump file.
It seems like the information store crash is "silent" with no other error
    messages logged anywhere.

The two other messages I see are event id 10004 DCOM error about
IWAM_ComputerName account and event id 36 W3SVC error about the
    IUSR_ComputerName account.

I followed the instructions I found on the microsoft knowledgebase to reset
the password and synchronize with the metabase. This has not helped. Since
then, the Information store has stayed up, but the two error messages still
show up in the event log. I am at a deadend at this point, though these
errors dont prevent any mail access issues or OWA issues.

I logged a ticket with Microsoft Product Support and worked with them today
and am waiting to hear back from them.

    Thank you for your input.

    Darren
