Figure out how long you want to be down if you have a database
problem. Then size the databases accordingly.
Keep in mind that the replaying of the log files can take quite a bit
of time. Using multiple storage groups can help (sometimes) with this
by reducing the total number of log files that need to be replayed to
bring a SG back on-line.
The 1st 100 log files replay pretty fast because the IS builds a table
to keep track of things. But once that table fills the replay time per
log file slows down considerably.
