Not sure exactly what you are asking for.
In exchange server you can have as many SMTP addresses as you want. The primary address will always be used when you send an email and therefore also used when the recipients reply to such a mail.
Is that what you are trying to change??

They have a domain email for the company. They have a personal email also. They asked if I could change the primary (domain) email to their personal. I changed the SMTP Primary to reflect their personal email address.
Now when someone emails their personal email, it goes to the domain email, even though the address shows it as their personal. If the person sends someone in the company a personal email, the reply goes to the domain email, even though the reply address shows it as their personal.
I even removed the SMTP domain email option, but it was re-created.
What has happened and how can it get back to normal?

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I was out of town.
As I tried to describe, I changed a users SMTP Primary default to their personal email address, rather than it going to their work email. Should be a simple process, right?
But now, if this user sends an email (using their personal email address), and someone replies to it (and it shows as their personal email address in the To: field), it still goes to their work email address, not to their personal email address.
