How to extract a mailbox from the information store without the .edb database

Hi there,

We had a mare with our exchange 2000 server last week. 2 drives on the
raid array went down at the same time! This would not have been too
much of a problem as we have backups but.. the .edb database file was
not backed up! So we are left with a copy of the mailbox store but no
..edb file... My question is it possible to extract a mailbox from the
backup of the mailbox store without the .edb file? Will exmerge be able
to magically pull it out of store without the edb file?
Basically we are clutching at straws now. Luckily all bar 3 users had
cached Outlook profiles so we have been able to manually export and
import their old emails back into their new profiles and then sync them
up to the new mailbox store.

How ever the email and data in the unlucky 3 is very important can any
one help pleeease?
