Re: outgoing mails causing bottleneck in smtp que

May I jump in here as I have the same problem, it takes Hours to get mail
out of my server. What bothers me is that the junk doesn't seem to have a
problem. It is the real mail that gets hung up. I have been watching the
queues all morning and nothing has left my server for over two hours now.
While I receive crap almost by the minute.

The reason that shows in all my Queues is:

"The remote server did not respond to the connection attempt"

If I use nslookup I get a response for the domain and besides these all have
worked before. So how do I figure this out and fix. The Boss has come to
expect his emails to be send out.

(although on a side note to nslookup I can never get a response for an LS
command? I always get Non-existent domain.

like "domainname.com" responses with 255.255.255.255. But, "ls -t MX
domainname.com" responses as non-existent??????)
