Slow Address Book

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I have a Windows 2000 / Exchange 2000 installation - up to date with all the
service packs and service pack roll-ups. Recently the Address book in outlook
has been extremely slow to appear on any client. It has gone from being
instantaneous to taking up to 12 seconds to appear - sometimes even causing
the client computer to hang. Has anyone experienced this before? What is the
solution?
