Just wondering why you're using an SMTP connector - why not the default
virtual SMTP server? Unless you need to forward to a smarthost you really
don't need the connector to send Internet mail....

Set Outlook Express up to authenticate to the SMTP server in the mail
account properties - Exchange lets authenticated users relay.
Any reason you're using POP to connect internal users to the server, rather
than Outlook/MAPI or OWA? You really don't get most of the benefits of
Exchange using POP.
