I'm confused on what you find to be the "Big Overhead" with hosting
your own e-mail...

If your already going to get SBS and it comes with Exchange.. Thats
your biggest overhead.. Not sure if the client already has a domain
name.. But if not, thats as cheap as $8.95 per year!

If the overhead you speak of is maintainence on the server, well, your
already going to have that overhead. Seeings that SBS comes with
Exchange, SQL, ISA, and Server.. Your going to have to patch and keep
them up anyway!

The only other thing that I can think of for a overhead problem would
be some kind of broadband connection.. And cable modem, even in a
commercial account, is nothing more than $50.00 a month.

I work as a network engineer in a consulting firm. The biggest
injustice I see is that other engineers are willing to take the "cheap"
and "band aide" way out for clients when they cry about financial and
other things. What I try to tell them is that if they cant afford to do
it the right way, they cant afford to do it at all. What happens if the
way your going to do it causes them to spend a ton of money in labor
every month when it continues to fail.. Would the money in labor better
be spent in doing it the right way first?

Dont want to sound critical here. I'm sure your doing a great job with
what you have to work with.. But sometimes clients just dont see the
logic in spending a few extra dollars today and avoid the headaches and
money in labor later!
