Hi Richard,
The 4.4.6 is telling you there is a loop in your configuration.
Normally this has something to do with Smarthost setting, connectors setup
to send to a smarthost or a DNS issue.

Does this happen with all users or only a few? If only a few users see
this it could be a rule or alternate recipient.

If none of your connectors or SMTP virtual servers have been changed, you
may have some DNS records causing the problem. Internal MX records can
cause problems like this.
