Here's my story.

Mid december we change from 5.5 to 2000. Same exact Earthlink problem,
same error message, same response from EL tech support.

All of our settings looked fine... But just decided to try one more
thing. I added our ISP's external DNS servers
under Advanced Delivery options. It worked.

I sent an email right before I made the change and got the error back.
Made the change and sent another email, no EL error sent back and the
message was delivered. I have tried it over and over and I am not
getting the error message back.

EDIT:

Also wanted to add that I tried this today. When I have my ISP DNS
numbers added, the emails go through. When I take them out, I get the
"EarthLink does not recognize your computer as connecting from an
EarthLink connection. "

I know we did not have these numbers on our old 5.5 server, why this is
happening I have no clue.
