OWA Not Starting
Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance
Hi All,
We have an Exchange 2000 on W2K. We had to reboot the server last night for
other reasons, but not OWA is not starting. The event log has the typical
the virtual dir could not be added warning because the information store
started first.
When trying to login I get a Service Unavailable 503 error in the web
browser.
So I stopped the information store. Then restarted it
Stopped the website (not the WWW Publishing Service) and restarted that, and
the virtual dirs all appears to come back.
But the OWA still does is not working. The browser now hangs and then times
out when after the user login box is entered.
As well when I tried to stop the World Wide Web Publishing Service, that now
appears to have hung.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
