No logging occurs on POP3 connector

Hi
I have maximum logging enabled on my pop3 interface but i get no information
in the application log of the event viewer. It was fine till a few days ago
when we had a connectivity problem, the hub that the router went into was
hung. The exchange 2000 server will now not download any emails and just
gives two lines in the application log, delivery service is flushing incoming
and outgoing queues and flushing is complete. Nothing else shows up in the
log. Where do I start even. Any help much appreciated
