Hi all.
I'd like to add a signature on the server side to every outgoing email
message, and I'd prefer to solve the problem using scripting. The
following MS Knowledge Base article describes pretty much the solution
I'm looking for:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;317680 (HOW TO:
Add a Disclaimer to Outgoing SMTP Messages in Visual Basic Script)
There is a problem, though:
"If you use a MAPI client such as Microsoft Outlook to send the e-mail,
the recipient does not receive a modified message. This is because
messages submitted using MAPI are not in SMTP format when the e-mail
triggers the SMTP transport event. Therefore, changes that are made by
the event's code are not persisted."
Is there another way to solve the problem, even though my clients are
using Outlook to send mail?
Any input will be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Morten Wittrock
