I have recently added 2 2nd back-end exchange server and 1 frontend server
to
my org. Since then, I have been getting these 2 errors on the backend
servers.
"The remote host x.x.x.x responded to the SMTP command "xexch50" with
"need
to authenticate first".
I am getting the same error on the other server respectively. I am
assuming
there is a permission issue but not sure. Please help!
Re: Slow backend due to long server name ... I've also tested the speeds of both servers and they are the ... The front end is instantaneous in retrieving data from the backend,... My guess is that the database and the interface are poorly designed ... (comp.databases.ms-access)

Problem with OWA! ... I have an existing exchange 2003 envoroment with serveral backend...servers and one frontend server ... The problem is when using OWA on the F/E and the mailboxes are located ... When using OWA directly on the B/E it is ... (microsoft.public.exchange.admin)
