I had this same error on one of our users machines here, we are using
Exchange Server 2003 with Outlook 2003 as the client. I troubleshot this
for 2 hours straight and tried everything imaginable without success. I
thought that this issue was locally significant, but logging the user
into multiple machines changed my troubleshooting methodology. The issue
was Mailbox related and was corrupted on the server side as opposed to
the client side.
For anyone reading this running into this issue from an Exchange
Outlook client I have the fix for you!!
Login to OWA as the user having the issue, go to tasks and create a new
task. Save the task (should work ok) then go back to the users Outlook
--> tasks and then from the Actions menu choose "Save Task Order".
Create a new task and then save it, all done!
If you are running in a non-exchange environment you may want to try
some of the Outlook command switches.
Make sure Outlook is closed
Start-->Run--> and then try one or all of these commands
outlook /cleanpst
outlook /cleanprofile
Please see http://www.petri.co.il/outlook_2003_...e_switches.htm for a
complete list of these switches
I'm not sure if these will work since I troubleshot this in an Excahnge
environment
