Unable to update Mailbox SD in the DS

Hi.
Exchange 2000 SP3
Recently I have got warnings from MOM saying "Unable to update Mailbox SD in
the DS" and with an information
poining to a MailboxGuid. In a MS article i am guided to find that accound
by using ADFind or LDP but there are
absolutely no mailbox/account with that MailboxGuid.
What could be the reason this have appeared.
Earlier we could find the Mailbox/Account and correct the problem.
