I went to the postfix site and it appears that it doesn't run on a
Windows platform? In any event, since you suggest I can do what I need
to do with postfix, do you (or anyone else) have some "step-by-step" s
to assist or maybe a link to same somewhere?

you can do this using postfix as a gateway to exchange

this is a common corporate practice.

Much better mta than any of the groupware servers (exchange, lotus or
groupwise).
