Why are you using smarhosts? What's the configuration that you think
you need smarthosts?
In a normal configuration your three servers would mesh mail between
themselves quite happily. In the event that you had server A, B and C,
and server A needed to send to C via B you would use an RG and SMTP
Connector.
You do need to explain where the smarthost thing kicks in....
