Limit size of Meeting Requests

Is there a way to limit size of meeting requests? Here is the short story.
We have a happy hour once a month. Every month when the secretary sends a
meeting request with GRAPHICS (~2 to 3MB) to about 300 mailboxes we get
"Server requesting data .... ". Then the Server hangs for good ~10 mins and
then comes back to life.

Env:
Win2K SP4, Exchange 2000 SP3
2GB RAM
Intel 750 MHz Dual CPU
Multiple NICs for fault tolerance

Is the behavior normal? Is there a way to prevent meeting request with no
graphics or limited size (maybe < 0.5 MB)?
