1. Online Exchange backups do not require this - that's what online means.
2. If you're doing mailbox-level backup, you might want to rethink it. Do it
*only* if you are also doing a full online backup of the Exchange stores,
successfully. Brick-level/mailbox-level backup is incredibly slow, sucks up
lots of tape, and is useless for disaster recovery - and even restoring
individual mailbox items will often cause problems, particularly with
calendars.
