Cannot Access AD During a Re-run of Domainprep

    I ran a dcpromo to take out the first DC in my child domain after I
moved the FSMO's to a new DC. Now, I have App log errors every 5 minutes.
The App log is telling me it cannot find a writable DC. I was told to look
at the RUS and see what DC and domain are listed there but everything is
correct. I went to run domainprep again at Microsoft's direction and got
an error that it could not access AD nor could it find the Schema Master of
the domain.
    Could someone tell me where to look to see if I can figure this one out?

   Any reply would be appreciated.
