To answer your question, no I don't have spam filtering on the Exchange
Server. We are running Sendmail on our gateway and using SpamAssassin there
to tag the mail, then sorting it based on the score in Outlook.
My reading (so far) indicates that these message show a distribution list
tear down and delivery to individual recipients. The strange thing is that
the distribution list with which I am having trouble is based in Sendmail and
Sendmail is tearing apart the list and forwarding copies of the message to
each recipient. If my reading is right, it would appear that the Exchange
Server thinks it is tearing down the list.
