Hi,
We got a new dual with dual Xeon, which offer the Hyper Threading
technology. We are considering stay with the current Windows2000
AD/Exchange2000 platform, or upgrade to Windows2003/Exchange2003 (but keep
Windows2000 AD).
Does Windows2000/Exchange2000 natively support Hyper Threading ? Which
combination of server application have better performance on the new
hardware (Dual Xeon 3G, 4G RAM)?
My boss tends to stay with Windows2000/Exchange2000 platform since the
existing 2 server are Windows2000/Exchange2000. But I'm trying to dig out
the possibility of upgrading since there are some new features we might be
benefit sooner or later.
Is that possible to:
1-Install a Windows2003 server and join the domain;
2-Install Exchange2003 in the existing Exchange2000/5.5 mix-mode envoirnment
without upgrade to AD2003;
3-Upgrade to AD2003 later to benefit some features rely on AD2003, such as
RPC over HTTP ?
Any hints will be greatly appreciate!
