I have been able to fix it each time using eseutil , but twice in one week
is scary.

Event viewer shows all kinds of notifications of viruses. I have Symantec
AVF for Exchange installed, I do not have scanning turned on, so it shouldnt
be scanning the M drive, which I know is a no-no.
I do have it on autoprotect though, with the following settings:
enable auto-protect, enable Exchange background scanning, rescan information
store when new virus definitions arrive, scan message bodies enabled

I have pasted the errors from the event viewer application logs. leaving out
the antivirus notifications. And some of the errors appear more than once.
If anybody gets an idea of what is happening, I would appreciate the info.
