Recommendation: Never use Windows Explorer (M:\ drive) to change permissions
for Exchange objects. The main issue has come up with public folders; I
haven't heard from people who've tried to do this with mailboxes, but the
same issue applies. Basically, if you use the Windows UI, the permissions
get saved in Windows format. This causes problems for Exchange.

If you're getting "Unable to save" messages, you may actually be lucky in
that the problem's been prevented. Check the following:
- User can log into their mailbox with Outlook
- In Outlook, user can view and change folder permissions
- In Active Directory, you can open a user's Mailbox Rights dialog box, and
give another user Full Mailbox Rights to the mailbox.

If everything works, then you're OK. Just don't try to mess with the M:\
drive anymore.

If you run into problems, you may have to call Product Support. I don't know
how well the known public folder fixes will work with mailboxes. You might
try moving mailboxes to a new mailbox store.
