We have a virus/filter server that transmits emails to our frontend server
and then to the mail exchange server. We are running Exchange 2000 w/sp3 on
Windows 2000 Advanced Server w/sp4. Everything comes through a Firewall
Server. We get regular messages from the main Exchange server that the "SMTP
CONNECTOR" is down. It must only be for a split second for we do not have
any reports of mail failure. It's very annoying though and I know that
something is not right and it bothers me. I really don't know where to start
to troubleshoot this problem. Please help?
