I have known for quite some time about the issues with "multi-homed"
machines and Win2k* though. Esp. in the context mentioned in this

The servers I'm used to working with allow for not binding a
service/protocol to a NIC either by command line or editing a file.

I have images of the server before I installed AD, Exchange, etc and
since that was not more than 3 weeks ago, I can just export the email
I have from outlook express and put back the clean install.
After which I'll remove the second NIC before re-installing AD -> DNS
-> Exchange Exchange.
I have another Cisco router that I can put in "Bridge-mode" and use
NAT from there for my Internet Access.
I think applying the KISS principle here will save me alot of
headaches later on.
A couple of my friends say they went this route and don't have the
issues I'm having.
