Just to add a few more notes I also read and followed the instructions in Nino Bilic's webcast entitled "Troubleshooting Virtual Memory Fragmentation on Exchange 2000 Servers. Specifically, I edited HKLM\System\CurretnControlSet\Control\SessionManager\HeapDeCommitFreeBlockThreshold=262144. Next, I used ADSI Edit to reduce msExchESEParamCacheSizeMax to 196608.
I made these changes about 10 weeks again to address the 9582 *Errors* and it seemed to help. However, late last week I noticed the 9582 *Warnings* show up, and that's when I applied the hotfix from MS, but the warnings went away for a day. Finally, I just disabled the real time scan engine on Norton AV for Exchange which also runs on my Exchange box.
So, do you think it is safe to reduce the store database maximum cache size from the current setting of 768MB? I'm just interested in trying a few more things before having to open a support ticket.
Thanks!
