I see. The domains (whether a successful or unsuccessful delivery) will
remain for a certain period, I believe until either the SMTP service is
restarted or the machine is restarted. I can't remember if there's a cache
setting that can be altered to remove the domain name (empty or not). Maybe
someone else can answer that part. This supposedly reduces the additional
lookups if the machine were to be sending additional mail to those
destination domains.
