sticky exchange problem

Hi
I'm running an Exchange environment with two Exch 2003 servrs and two Exch
2000 servers. The problem is that when messages are sent to a couple of
distribution list they go sit in the "messages awaiting directory lookup
queue" and are never actually delivered through.. This happens for a couple
of distribution lists which I have recreated on numerous times. When I
force the connection the messages dissapear and come back again.. I've
checked delivery options and I don't have a limit on the number of
recipients one can send to at once and also in the smtp connection's virtual
server.
This is an example of the type of message that I get
