A lot of my users get 'waiting for exchange' boxes every
time they go to the public folders or large folders in
their own mailboxes. My remote users are complaining that
synching has become almost an all day event. Admittedly,
some people have large mailboxes (up to 800MB) but I have
a limit set to 80MB for the general staff. Every now and
again I get the waiting message by just changing messages
in my own inbox. The only thing in my system log is some
browser fight messages and account messages. The app log
has the regular 9582 - virtual memory fragmented messages.
I just ran a week long monitor of the counters to make
sure it wasn't just a one-day problem. Those same
counters that I listed below are still the ones above MS's
recommendations. The only other thing I noticed was this
one:
MSExchange IS MB Counters
Send Queue Size (mine 1.046) (MS recommends approx 0)
Everything I see, with the exception of the send queue
size and TCP segment received has to do with memory. I'm
just not sure what to do. I already have 2GB in there
with a 4GB pagefile on the OS partition.
Any recommendations? :)
Thanks for the posts,
Edensys
