Dear Ed,
The DC was competely totaled becaused of a virus. so there were no more DC.
I already seize the RID and it workin fine. Thanks

Yes, you can seize the role on another server. But if you do that, you must.
ensure that you don't bring the old DC back online, you'll want erase it and
manually remove it from AD. Google "Seize FSMO Role" and I'm sure you'll
get lots of great instructions.

Dear Ed, After a long search i found out that the RID belong to one of our
site, but the problem is the DC was broken that is why the exchange cannot
locate an RID. is there any way to move the RID to another DC without the
old
RID server?
"Ed Crowley [MVP]" wrote:
Well apparently it can't obtain a relative identifier when you create a
user
and the place it would be looking for one would be the RID Master FSMO
role
holder.

Dear Ed
How do I make the server locate the RID Master FSMO role holder?

It sounds as if your server cannot locate the RID Master FSMO role

Dear all,
I recently installed a new DC and Exchange in a new remote
site.
This
is
my
first time doing this. I installed the DC and Exchange on
Windows
Server
2003
Enterprise SP2. The Replication went well judging by the
operational
active
directory. and I also check using repadmin /showreps and the
replication
is
working fine.
I also installed the exchange on the remote site right before
I
finish
the
DC. the instalation also went well but the problem is
everytime I
try
to
create a user no matter whitch mailbox I used It always show
an
error:
"cannot find a relative identifier" when I go to the system
manager
I
noticed
that the mailbox store is not mounted and I failed everytime I
tried
to
mount
the database, in the directory excrvr > MDBDATA there is no
database
file.
The error shown when i tried to mount the database is ID no:
C1041724
I tried the solution provide in the microsoft support KB, but
it
seem
the
problem is rather different, because all of the KB suggested
is
there
somthing wrong with my replication, but the replication seem
fine
from
the
test result I run.
Please Advise.
Thanks
Thener
