Re: Outlook Error? Exchange 2003

I was able to open the mailbox with OWA. I did an upgrade/replace of
Office to version 2003 on our terminal Servers that this user uses
once a week at a remote location. I was able to open her mailbox and
make changes to IE on the terminal server. So now I am starting to
wonder if the DC in the location that she is in, needs to be rebooted.
It doens't have anything to do with Email other than being the DC for
the location that she is in for the majority of her work week. I will
be on site there soon and will do the reboot incase there are any
issues. Not sure why there is only one user with this problem, but she
is the only one up there that moves to multiple locations.....

Thanks for the reply. I posted as I normally do, just replied to my
own message when I realized I had forgotten a bit of info that I hoped
would help. I haven't tried the OWA option or going through Outlook
express. I am starting to think its the AD account that is causing the
issues, as I was in the office with this user yesterday and she was
printing some Clinical notes for some of her clients and the margins
were wrong in IE 7. I went in to set them up for her and when I tried
to save them it reverted right back and would not save.
My current plan was to delete the account and recreate it in AD and
then try and get everything re-attached properly. I will try the OWA
thing first though....

TimParker,
I don't know how you posted your question (below) but I couldn't reply to
it.
Try opening the mailbox with OWA. It's likely that there's a corrupt item
in the mailbox. You could also try connecting with a POP client like
Outlook Express and downloading all the messages, deleting the corrupt one
(if you can find it) and importing them into Outlook.

I have a user that no matter what computer she signs into on our
network now. When she tries to open up Outlook she gets a single
dialogue box that says "Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook." The
only option is OK and then it just goes away.
I know we did have a potential problem which I think I have now fixed.
We did have a very mixed environment and just recently moved some
users and PC's around. We had a mixture of XP and a handful of Win2k
Boxes and then we also had mixes of Office 2003 and Office 2000.
I have read that this can or will cause some issues going between the
two. I have since upgrade and updated all the machines to just be XP
and Office 2003.
I started with deleting the profile directory on the first computer in
question and re logging her back in and it still happened. This
morning I went all the way of removing the files from her profile
completely on the DC and then logging back in as her, logged off so
that it would write the files back and then logged back in and got the
same error.
I also just tried logging her onto my work laptop (which she has never
used) and it gave the same error.
I must be missing something.....HELP!
