If I expand Server Configuration -> Hub Transport -> Receive Connectors, I
have 3 connectors:

Client excas1
Default excas1
Unixmail

Only Unixmail has the following checked off under Permission Groups:
"Anonymous users". For Authentication, it has nothing checked. For the
other 2, Authentication tab has the following enabled:

TLS
Basic Authentication
Offer Basic authentication only after starting TLS
Exchange Server authentication
Integrated Windows authentication

Under Permission Groups tab, it has the following:

Exchange users
Exchange servers
Legacy Exchange Servers

I guess I'm starting to see the issue. I'm pointing the mulit-function
devices to use excas1 as the mail server, in this case, they're set to use
authentication. Whatever I set under Unixmail receive connector will not do
a thing since the MDF printer will not go through there?

If I have to use plain text login (not recommended), I guess I'll have to
uncheck this under Basic Authentication - Offer Basic authentication only
after starting TLS?

Sorry Ed, how can I confirm the settings? In the console under
Organization Configuration -> Hub Transport -> Accepted Domains, I have
domain.com setup as Internal Relay.

I also tried to set up a POP3 connection and I can receive mail okay but
not sending out? It tells me I'm not authenticated.

That sequence tells me that the Exchange server is configured to require
authentication to relay. The domain "domain.com" in your example isn't
configured as an inbound domain in your recipient policy is it? Or is it
configured to require authentication for all connections?

We also have one Unix server that can't send mail to Exchange, keep
getting this error although in Exchange it's set to accept mail from IP

The CAS server is listed when I ran the command. Here's the receive
connector properties for accepting mail from Unix mail server:

I limited to only accept mail from a few servers, including the Unix
mail server and all HP AIO printers/scanners. Under Network tab and
"Receive mail from remote servers that have these IP addresses", I have
confirmed the HP AIO IP is included. Under authentication tab I have
nothing checked. Under Permission Groups tab, I have the following
checked:

Anonymous users, Exchange users, Exchange servers, Legacy Exchange
Servers

In the setup, if I set the SMTP server be the Unix relay server, it
works fine. As soon as I change to Exchange CAS server, I sent a
test PDF and immediately from the front panel, I would get a fatal
error.

You can send the messages to the relay server or to the Exchange
server. Nothing you've posted indicates that it won't work. Have
you tested it?

Not directly, we have Unix mail relay which we will continue to
use. I guess in Exchange, that mail relay server is the Edge
server?
