Information store wont start after CAS removal

Hello!

I've run in troubles while uninstalling CAS role from the first Exchange
2007 server (sp1 with Rollup 5).
We currently have coexsistence of Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007. Since we
did install a separated Exchange 2007 server which would handle CAS role the
CAS on first Exchange 2007 was not needed anymore (since the first Exchange
is in the same site), so there remains only HUB and Mailbox.
After the reboot the "funny" thing happened, that the "Microsoft Exchange
System Attendant" and "Microsoft Exchange Information Store" did not start
with these errors:

- Source: MSExchangeIS; Event ID: 1180
Description:

Probably the uninstall did remove some files or registry entries but I am
not able to find out which ones. I've also tried to remove the Mailbox role
(since there are only a few test users) but not able to do it, since the
mailbox doesn't mount and it doesn't want to remove the roles because there
are sitll users on the server.

It is very similiar to this problem:

Any help is appreciated!
