I also thought that the Restore LUN could be used for maintenance run isinteg
or eseutil. The storage calc removes the extrac disk required to run these
utilities if you say Yes to Restore LUN.
Is this true?

Calculators recommendations. We know we're only going to restore a database
(we aren't talking DR here) if a customer requests old data that's been
deleted and they aren't on a Journal Store. So we just used a chunk of RAID5
storage.
I guess it depends if you are planning on using it for your DR purposes of a
database restore, and plan to switch over to the restored database (you can
in Exchange 2007), and them merge your 'dialtone' one into the larger
restored store.
