Re: Can not migrate mailboxes from Exchange 2003 SP2 to Exchange 2007

Leif,
No dice. Still getting the same error message. Now I am getting a new
message also when I go to mount my public folder database. That error
message is "
Error:
Exchange is unable to mount the database that you specified. Specified
database:GUID for Database; Error code:MapiExceptionNotFound: Unable to mount
database. (hr=0x8004010f, ec=-2147221233)"

Hi,

You need to check the security on the OU in AD where the users are located.
You can do this with active directory users and computers - remember to view
advanced features to see the security tab.

Leif,
Thanks for the promt reply. I looked at the post and it didnt let me
know if it is where I have to change the registry to show security in the
system manager for 2003 so I can adjust security there. (I know you dont
work
for MSFT, but i was wondering if you ever heard of that)

If it is going by straight AD security, all my user groups have "read"
access.

I am trying to migrate all of my mailboxes from my current Exchange 2003
SP2
system to my Exchange 2007 SP1 system.

I have tried from the powershell command move-mailbox command and from
right
clicking on the user and choosing move mailbox.

On both this is the following error I get;
"Error:
Error was found for username (user@xxxxxxxxxxxx) because: Error
occurred
on
the step: Prepairing mailbox to be moved. Failed to copy basic mailbox
information with error. The Microsoft Exchange Information Store
service
could not find the specified object., error code: -1056749241.

I have serched for this error code on this board and could not find an
answer. I do appolize if it was answered before, I just could not find
it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
