RE: Test-MapiConnectivity failure on Exchange 2007 in coexistence

Hi Simon,

Thank you for your prompt feedback again and I am very glad to hear the
issue is resolved and the Exchange 2007 server and send and receive emails
normally now.

Regarding the root cause why the original mailbox store is working
abnormally to send out emails, based on our troubleshooting and your
information, there are a few possible causes:

1. The mailbox is somehow corrupted during the movement you have ever done.
E.g. the integrity or consistency has problems.
2. As you considered, certain permissions problem with the system files on
the default store location caused the database store failed to mount.
3. Other unknown causes.

Therefore, if you like, I suggest you try to check the integrity or
consistency of the old database store to check its healthy. You may use the
built-in Exchange server 2007 Database Troubleshooter and Eseutil tool (/mh
command to check if it is "clean shutdown", /P to repair the database and
/D to defragment the database) to detect and fix the failure in the old
database store.

Exchange Server Database Utilities (Eseutil.exe) for Exchange server 2007

Also, you can use the Isinteg.exe tool to check and to fix the integrity of
the information store databases including the private information store,
Priv.edb, and the public information store, Pub.edb.

By the way, I suggest we perform regular backup and regular healthy
checking for your database store as assurance. :

if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me
know.

Thank you for your time and cooperation!

Best regards,
